UKLFI Charitable Trust held a webinar on The Humanitarian Situation in the Gaza Strip with Rev Dr Johnnie Moore and chaired by Natasha Hausdorff, on Thursday 18 September, 2025.
The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and how to provide humanitarian relief during the ongoing war are hugely controversial issues. Hamas and other armed groups have been accused of seizing aid from international organisations, depriving those who need it most, profiting from its resale, and using the profits to fight the war. On 26 May 2025 the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) commenced direct distribution of individual food boxes at secured sites in areas of the Gaza Strip under Israeli control. This operation has itself been controversial, with allegations that over 1000 Palestinians have been killed while trying to reach or return from the distribution sites. In this webinar, Rev. Dr. Johnnie Moore discusses with Natasha Hausdorff the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, GHF’s efforts to provide relief, the challenges it faces and the extent to which it has been able to overcome them.

Rev. Dr. Johnnie Moore was appointed twice to the bipartisan US Commission on International Religious Freedom, serving under both the Trump and Biden administrations. He has engaged with Heads of State across the Islamic world, contributing to peace-building efforts such as the Abraham Accords. He is the youngest recipient of the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s prestigious Medal of Valor for his extensive work on behalf of threatened Christians in the Middle East. He also serves on the Anti-Defamation League’s Middle East Task Force. He was appointed Executive Chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation on 3 June 2025.
In his business career, Dr. Moore founded The Kairos Company, a communications consultancy acquired by JDA Worldwide, of which he is now President. He has been awarded doctorates by Liberty University and Indiana Wesleyan University, and is the author of ten books. He has recently been appointed Vice Chancellor of Pepperdine University’s Washington DC campus.
Natasha Hausdorff is a barrister at 6 Pump Court Chambers, and a frequent speaker on International Law. She has a law degree from Oxford University, qualified as a solicitor at Skadden, and subsequently gained an LLM from Tel Aviv University, focussing on public international law and the law of armed conflict. She clerked for Miriam Naor, President of Israel’s Supreme Court and was a fellow at Columbia Law School’s National Security programme. Natasha is legal director of UKLFI Charitable Trust.
Natasha’s work explaining legal issues relating to Israel has been recognised this year by the American Jewish Committee’s award for moral courage and by the honour of lighting one of the torches on Har Herzl to mark Israel’s Independence Day.
