UKLFI Charitable Trust held a webinar on Lawfare with Douglas Feith and Natasha Hausdorff, on Monday 11 August, 2025.

Carl von Clausewitz famously said: “War is the continuation of policy with other means”. Today the same might be said of lawfare. And as the Jew among nations, the State of Israel is the direct or indirect target of numerous legal proceedings.

Having failed to destroy the “Zionist Entity” by warfare and boycotts, Israel’s enemies are increasingly resorting to lawfare to further the same objective.

In this webinar Natasha Hausdorff, UKLFI Charitable Trust’s Legal Director, discusses the current situation and future outlook regarding lawfare relating to Israel, with Douglas Feith, US lawyer and former Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

More about the speakers  

Douglas J. Feith is a Senior Fellow at Hudson Institute. He was a professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Kennedy School.  As Under Secretary of Defense for Policy from 2001 until 2005, he helped devise the strategy for the war on terrorism.

Before serving in the George W. Bush administration, Mr. Feith headed a Washington, D.C. law firm.  In the Reagan Administration, Mr. Feith worked at the White House on Middle East policy for the National Security Council and served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Negotiations Policy.

Mr. Feith holds degrees with honors from the Georgetown University Law Center and Harvard College. He is the author of the memoir War and Decision: Inside the Pentagon at the Dawn of the War on Terrorism.   

Natasha Hausdorff is a barrister at 6 Pump Court Chambers, and a frequent speaker on International Law. She has a law degree from Oxford University, qualified as a solicitor at Skadden, and subsequently gained an LLM from Tel Aviv University, focussing on public international law and the law of armed conflict.  She clerked for Miriam Naor, President of Israel’s Supreme Court and was a fewllow at Columbia Law School’s National Security programme.  Natasha is legal director of UKLFI Charitable Trust.

Natasha’s work explaining legal issues relating to Israel has been recognised this year by the American Jewish Committee’s award for moral courage and by the honour of lighting one of the torches on Har Herzl to mark Israel’s Independence Day.
