Justice Elyakim Rubinstein to speak about Current Legal Issues in Israel

UKLFI Charitable Trust is delighted to announce that Justice Elyakim Rubinstein will be speaking to UKLFI guests  at a breakfast talk  in Central London at 8.30am on Monday 25 February 2019.

Justice Rubinstein has had a fascinating legal career: He was appointed Justice of the Supreme Court in Israel in 2004 and in 2015 became its Deputy President, a role he held until 2017. Previously he served as Attorney General of Israel from 1997 to 2003, where he participated in negotiations with Syria (1999-2000) and in the Camp David Summit (2000).

He served as Government Secretary for four different governments and as legal advisor to the Foreign Ministry and the Defence Ministry, and as Deputy Ambassador in Washington. He was the head of the Israeli delegation that negotiated the Israel Jordan Peace Treaty and was involved in the peace treaty negotiations with Egypt (1978/9).
